10 things to do in Jaffna!!
ジャフナ市内を回るには、レンタル自転車が便利です。
大体１日500ルピー。
スリーウィールはコロンボと違いスタートが100ルピー。
時間があるならバスで行けるところもありますが、時間がないならチャーターした方が賢い。おすすめのチャーターは、知り合いの英語ペラペラでジャフナについての知識が深い旅行会社です。レンタル自転車・レンタルバイクもやってます。

If you traveling around only Jaffna Town area, I recommend, Rental Bicycle (Around 500Rs). The Three wheel (Auto/Tuku Tuku) default price is around 100 in Jaffna. Most of place can go by bus, but it takes looooooooong time. so if you stay in Jaffna only for 2-3 days, I strongly recommend to chartered a car.
Because there are so many beautiful place to visit in Jaffna peninsula. One of my friends provide tour and transportation service. they can also rent motorbikes and bicycles.

- ナッルールテンプル ー Visiting Nallur Kandaswami Temple
ジャフナのシンボル！ヒンドゥ寺院では朝昼晩合計４回ほどお祈りタイムがあるので、夕方5時半ごろに行くと確実にご祈祷シーンが観られます。左側に有名なリオアイスクリームがあるので、参拝後はコチラでアイスを食べるのがジャフナの常識？！毎年８月は２０日間ほどお祭りが開催され、本当にスリランカ中から、いや世界中からヒンドゥ教徒が押し寄せます。８月は人口密度が上がり、交通量も増すので気をつけて下さい。
お寺の敷地内は裸足が原則。靴を手に持って歩いているのをお坊さんに見つかると怒られるので、靴はカバンの中など見えないところにしまうか、他の参拝客と同じように敷地の外に脱ぎ捨てちゃってください。基本的に盗むような人はいませんし…、よっぽど良い靴ならあれですけど・・・、間違えて履いて帰られる程度じゃないでしょうか…。私は必ずビニール袋を持って、靴をカバンの中にしまいます。
★行き方：（バスターミナルから）
バスの場合：ポイントペドロ行きのバスに乗って、ナッルールテンプルで降りて下さい。おそらく１０ルピーぐらい。
スリーウィーラーの場合：バスターミナルからの場合(Rs.150〜250）平均：200Rs.
★ 境内は裸足が原則！男性は上半身裸が原則。女性で露出度の高い服を着ていくのは本来NGだと思います。（たまにビーチか！って格好で入る人がいるんですけど、自分ところの宗教でもその格好で行くのはアカンでしょ？っていう人…いるんですよね…欧米系の女性…とくに…。ヒッカドゥワからの流れで来たのかな…）
The symbol of Jaffna. The ceremony at Hindu temples are held 4-5 times in a day. You can see "Puuja" at 12:00, 16:00PM, 17:00PM certainly.
Just Left behind of the temple, there is a famous icecream shop "RIO". Most of the worshippers enjoy their icecream there after visiting Nallur Temple. In August, they have a festival for 24 days. Many Hindu worshippers come to Jaffna for this festival from Sri Lanka and all of the World.
You can't wear your shoes in the temple, not only temple building but also around the temple building. Even you hold your shoes by your hand, if monk found it, they would make you leave your shoes outside. I recommend bringing a shopping bag to keep your shoes and put it in your bag.
★How to get there: From Bus Stand
・By Bus: Take the bus for Point Pedro, and get off at Nallur Temple. The cost will be around 10Rs.
・Three Wheeler: Around 150Rs-250Rs( Depends on Negotiation)
・You have to remove your shoes. And Men have to be bare-chest. Women don't wear immodest outfit. I saw some women wear almost nothing like on the Hikkaduwa beach in Jaffna, but it is not a suitable outfit in Jaffna and Temple.

ー Old Abandoned District Secretariat Office
内戦で破壊された県庁跡。政権交代前はRJの巨大看板が乱立しており見えづらかったが今は看板も取り外され、中が見える。
大統領が変わる前は中に入れなかったけど、今は普通に中の方まで普通に見学できます。
This Old District Secretariat Office got destroyed during the civil war. Now you can enter without permission.
- 図書館 ー Jaffna Library (16:30~)
ジャフナ図書館も内戦中に破壊されたんですが、戦後修復されました。とても綺麗な建物。蔵書も豊富。
Jaffna library was also destroyed during the civil war. It was rebuilt. It is very beautiful and white building. Around this building, there are some historical buildings too. - ジャフナフォートー Jaffna Fort
オランダ？が残した五稜郭のような建物。日陰がないのと、フォートからみたラグーンに沈む夕日がとてつもなくキレイなので、夕方行くことをおすすめします。
Dutch built this Fort. there is no sun shades and the sunset from the fort is the Best landscape in Jaffna. I recommend going there after 5 o'clock. - 修道院のワインを買う

ー Buying Palmyrah Arrack at Wine shop
ジャフナでしか購入することができない幻のアラック！一回飲んだらやみつきになる旨さで、毎回どこかに行く度にお土産として催促されたり、ジャフナに来た人を必ず酒屋に連れて行くぐらい大人気です。とりあえず試したいという方は、Tilco Hotelなら常時だいたい置いています。ちょっとソーダで割って、ライムを少し絞るのがオススメ。でチルコホテルの向かいにちょうど酒屋もありますので、気に入れば買ってみて♡
Palmyrah Arrack is only available in Jaffna. You can't buy it anywhere else. And that taste is amazingly Yummy!!
Once you taste it, you can't drink coconut arrack.
If you want to try it before buy, you can drink it at Tilko hotel bar. Please try it with soda and lime or Dodan palam. And if you love it, you can buy it at the wine shop which is in front of Tilko Hotel or in town♡ I highly recommend this Label one. There are 3 kinds, but this is the best.
このラベルのが一番美味しいです。もう２種類あり、緑のラベルのもまあまあ。Vanityと書いてるのはアルコールを添加してるので絶対に買わないでください。

ー Visiting Jaffna islands
If you have a time, you can visit "Delft island", but..... that boat to the Delft is awful... If you spent just 2-3days in Jaffna, I don't recommend going there. It is enought to go to Nagadipa (Nainative) island.
How to get:
Delft: there is only one boat service in the morning 9:00 from KKD (Kurikanduvan?), so it means you need to leave 7:30 from Jaffna town bus stand at least. (it takes 1 hr by bus)
and Return boat is only one in the afternoon, 14:00 or something... (please ask there)
Nagadipa (Nainative): there are so many boat service every 15-30 mins from KKD. Last boat from Nainative is around 4 ( I am not sure you need to ask there).
How to get to KKD. Take the bus from Bus stand. If you said "KKD" or Nainative, they will point you which bus you need to take.
